An elderly man was killed in a road accident in Nowgam area of central Kashmir Srinagar district on Wednesday late night.
An official sais that a scooty rider namely Ali Mohd Najar (62) son of Mohd Khalil Najar resident of Peer bagh got injured after he met with an accident at Nowgam.
He said that Peer was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to injuries on Thursday.
He said that after all legal-medico formalities, the dead body is being handed over to legal heirs.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation. (KS)
