Jammu and Kashmir Police Sunday claimed to have recovered seven sticky bombs referred to as magnetic based IEDs and seven UBL grenades that were attached in the payload tied with a drone that was shot down by a patrolling team near International border in Kathua district on Sunday morning.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that after the drone was shot down, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Jammu and Kashmir Police was called on the spot and payload attached with drone was de-assembled and found having sticky bombs.
“Seven sticky bombs have been recovered from the payload which were taken into possession by police,” the officials said.
They said that recovery of these bombs is being taken as a major success by forces as sticky bombs have become a major security challenge. (KNO)
