Curfew has been imposed and the army has been called in to conduct a flag march in Bhaderwah town of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir over attempts by some elements to create communal tension, reported NDTV.

Quoting the police, NDTV reported that the government forces and authorities are keeping a close eye on the situation and would take action against anyone who violates the law.

According to local administration officials, the curfew was implemented after attempts were made to incite communal strife in the town.

As per the report, the government forces have been deployed in significant numbers in the town.

Earlier this week, as per the report in Times of India, pictures of alleged vandalism at the Lord Vasuki Nag temple, located at 17,400 feet Kailash Kund, surfaced on social media. Protests broke out in various locations, prompting the deployment of additional personnel in critical areas as a precautionary measure.
