Srinagar: A forty-five-year-old man was among six more people who succumbed to the Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the fatality count to 1850, officials said on Tuesday.

Among those who succumbed include one resident of Kashmir valley—a sixty-five-year-old man from Kupwara besides five persons from Jammu division—a sixty-one-year-old man Naseeb Nagar Jammu, an eighty-year-old man from Bhalwal Jammu, a seventy-eight-year-old man from Vijaypur Samba, a fifty-eight-year-old woman from Shangroo Banjoi Doda and a forty-five-year-old man from Chan Kanthi Reasi.

With these deaths, the total fatality count in J-K reached 1850—1169 in the Valley and 681 in the Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 443 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (346), Baramulla (170), Budgam (106), Kupwara (89), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (82), Doda (61), Bandipora (58), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (48), Ganderbal (43), Shopian (37), Samba (37), Poonch (22), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(21), and Reasi (14).
