A head constable in Border Security Force (BSF) dies at Pantha Chowk area of central Kashmir Srinagar district on last night, officials said.
They said that a BSF personnel namely HC Sarwan Kumar, a resident of Mera Masi in Mandi district Himachal Pradesh fell unconscious.
They said Kumar who was with 42 Bn BSF located at Pantha Chowk was brought to SMHS Hospital for medical treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
After completion of medico legal formalities, dead body was handed over to the concerned unit for further disposal and proceeding u/s 174 Cr.PC have been initiated, they said. (KS)
