Peer Marg, a meadow located at the height of 3485 meters above sea level is in the middle of Mughal Road that connects Kashmir with Pir Panjal valley. According to the locals, this road has provided convenience to them, besides this, the scenic landscape has attracted people from various districts to this pass. The shrine of Sheikh Ahmed Karim, located in Pir ki Gali, is a point of attraction. The caretakers of this shrine are from Poonch and Shopian districts. While speaking to The Kashmir Walla Abdul Sattar Bhat, one of the caretakers, shed some light on the importance of this highway for the locals and an urgent need for its all-weather functioning.
