Authorities on Wednesday said that April 20, 21 and 22 are traffic dry days on Srinagar-Ladakh road and urged people to avoid travel on the road owing to repetitive snow avalanches.
An official said that for the information motorists travelling on Srinagar-Sonamarg- Gumri road, it is hereby informed that April 20-22 will be dry days on the road.
“In view of widening, repair and proper maintenance of SSG road owing to repetitive huge avalanches along Sonamarg-Minimarg stretch 20-22 April 2023 would be Traffic Dry Day on Srinagar-Ladakh road, ” he said.
“As such all Ladakh/Sonamarg bound motorists are informed that they shall avoid travel towards Sonamarg/Ladakh on the dates designated as traffic dry days,” he said. (KS)
