Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have busted an Al Badr militant outfit module allegedly involved in grenade throwing incidents in northern Baramulla’s Sopore town.

In a statement issued here, police said that it along with army’s 22 RR and CRPF’s 179 battalion busted Al-Badr militant module by arresting one uncategorized militant of the outfit namely Ishfaq Ahmad Pandith of Bunpora Dangerpora Sopore along with his two militant associates namely Abdul Majeed Dar and Mubashir Ahmad Dar, both residents of Dangerpora Sopore.

“More arrests are expected in Case FIR No. 237/2020 dated 30-08-2020 of Police Station Sopore and further investigation is in progress,” the statement adds. (GNS)
