80 patients with COVID-19 symptoms to be shifted to NIT from CD hospital

Srinagar : Medical Superintendent of Chest Disease (CD) Hospital Dalgate Dr Mohammad Saleem Tak on Monday refuted allegations leveled by families of those who COVID-19  symptoms and termed it “unfounded”.

He said the hospital will give all required attention to positive cases only and will shift all 80 those with symptoms to NIT Hazratbal.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Tak said from couple of days some families have started leveling allegations against the hospital authorities which are absolutely “unfounded” and “far from realities”.

“After the death of two Covid-19 patients who were tested positive, their families along with those who have been kept in quarantine have leveled allegations against hospital authorities”, he said.

However he maintained, “There may have some lack of facilities but that doesn’t mean the words being spread on social media are true”.

He also said due to increasing rush, it was decided that all cases who showed symptoms will be sent to NIT Hazratbal and only positive cases will be kept here.

“It was a decision of Government of J&K to shift all 80 suspected patients to NIT Hazratbal to decongest the medical facility so that full attention and care to be given to positive cases only who are 15 in number”, he said. (KNS)
