At least four militants have been killed in three separate gunfights in Pulwama, Ganderbal and Handwara police districts of Kashmir valley, police said today.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that two militants have been killed in Chewakalan area of Pulwama during an overnight gunfight.
He said that both militants belonged to JeM outfit, while searches were going on in the area.
Meanwhile, in an another operation a militant was killed in Nunar area of Ganderbal district after a gunfight broke out in the area late last night.
The official said that the slain militant belong to LeT militant outfit, while operation was going on.
One more militant of LeT outfit was killed in Nechama locality of Rajwara in Handwara area after a gunfight broke out in the area late last night.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that they had launched joint operations at 4-5 locations yesterday night.
“So far 2 militants of JeM including 01 Pakistani killed in Pulwama, 1 militant of LeT killed each in Ganderbal & Handwara. Gunfights over in Handwara & Pulwama. One militant has been arrested alive,” he said. (KNS)
