The Punjab police on Sunday claimed to have recovered three live hand grenades and one Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the Ambala-Chandigarh highway.

“Three live hand grenades and one IED were recovered outside a private university on the Ambala-Chandigarh highway,” SP Ambala, Haryana Jashdeep Randhawa said.

He said that the IED been disposed of.

“The matter is being investigated. NIA and other central agencies have also been informed,” Randhawa said.
