Srinagar: Police have booked a youth under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Redwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and shifted him to Mattan Jail in Anantnag.

Official sources told that Mubarak Ahmed Dar, son of Abdul Rehman Dar of Redwani Kulgam was shifted to sub jail Mattan area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Thursday after execution of the PSA.

He said that Mubarak was arrested by police after he went missing on 28/10/2018 and then joined Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), a militant outfit. He added that a case was registered in PS Kulgam under FIR number 07/2019 under section 13, 18, 19, 20, 38, 39 ULA Act.

The youth was booked under PSA vide order number 81/DMK/PSA/28/02/2020 and has been accordingly shifted to sub Mattan jail in Anantnag. A police officer while confirmed it said that the youth was active with LeT militant outfit and as such he was booked under the PSA. (KNO)
