A woman was injured after allegedly being beaten by her husband in Kokathal locality of Kreeri in Baramulla district even as police have registered a case and have taken up the investigation.
Family members of the woman told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that their daughter was being mentally and physically harassed by her husband and in-laws since many years.
They alleged that her husband was having extra-marital affairs due to which he used to beat her ruthlessly, citing reasons of dowry.
They alleged that her husband beat her on Eid due which she received critical injuries and is battling for her life in ICU at SKIMS Soura
However a Health Official told told KNS that She had grievous injury in her head while her body was bruised.
Meanwhile, a Police official told KNS that they have registered a case in this regard and have taken up the investigation. (KNS)
