On International Day of Disabled Persons, several associations of disabled people staged protests in Srinagar to urge the Jammu and Kashmir administration to fulfill their demands.
They were demanding that there should be special schools and colleges for their education, and there should be means of employment. The associations said that they appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir government many times in the past also but only got fake promises in return
