Senior Army officials, local administration officers, police officers and some local civil society and political activists today gathered at War Memorial in Badamibagh Cantonment in Srinagar to pay homage to chief of defense staff, Bipin Rawat, who was killed in a chopper crash along with his wife and 11 other officials in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The attendees lit candles and offered tributes to the slain officers during the gathering.
