Wanted Pak militant Abu Zarara killed in Surankote gunfight: Police

Poonch: A wanted Pakistani militant has been killed by the govt forces in the ongoing gunfight near Bufliyaz in Surankote area of Poonch district on Tuesday.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the slain militant has been identified Abu Zarara who is reportedly affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and was considered as a wanted militant by the govt forces.

They said that slain militant was operating in Rajouri and Poonch districts. “The area where gunfight is going on is dense forest cover area and more reinforcement have been rushed to tighten the cordon as there is a possibility of presence of one more militant in the area,” the officials said, adding from the slain militant one AK 47 riffle, 4 magazines, one grenade, biscuit packets and some Indian currency was recovered—(KNO)
