Srinagar: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah has condemned the killing of Bharatiya Janta Party sarpanch in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The National Conference leader while taking to his Twitter handle said, “Very sorry to hear about the killing of sarpanch Ajay Pandita in Anantnag earlier this afternoon. I unequivocally condemn this terror attack on a grassroots political worker & pray that his soul rests in peace.,”
Earlier today, unknown gunmen shot dead a 35-year-old Sarpanch in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Official sources told a local news gathering agency that the Sarpanch identified as Mr. Ajay Panditha of Dooru was fired upon by the gunmen near Lokbawan Larkipora.
He was rushed to GMC Anantnag where he was declared brought dead.
Dr Majeed Mehrab, medical superintendent GMC Anantnag confirmed that the 35-year-old was brought dead.
