Srinagar: Two militants of The Resistance Front were killed in an early morning gunfight with govt forces at Zakura area of Srinagar, police said Saturday.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet quouting IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, said, “02 militants of militant outfit LeT/TRF neutralised by Srinagar Police. One of the killed militants Ikhlaq Hajam was involved in recent killing of HC Ali Mohd at Hassanpora Anantnag. Incriminating materials including 02 pistols recovered”.
A head constable of J-K police Ali Muhammad Ganie was shot at by the militants near his residential house at Hasanpora Tabala area of Bijbehara Anantnag on January 29.
