Srinagar: Police on Saturday found two mortar shells from orchards in Nowgam, Anantnag, south Kashmir.

Reports reaching here said that some locals spotted the suspicious objects in the orchards and informed the police about it. Later, the police and Bomb Disposal Squad reached the site.

Confirming it, a police officer said that two live mortar shells were lying in the orchard and were later defused without causing any damage. (GNS)
