Traffic movement on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch national highway has been restored after 7 hours as protest by victim families of January 01 Dhangri militant attack has been called off.
Officials said that family members of Dhangri militant attack victimshad blocked the highway near Muradpur Chowk today morning.
The protesters said that there is nothing concrete in terms of investigation by police and other investigation agencies in the attack even as more then six months have passed.
They said that stern action should be taken against those facilitating militant movement and attacks.
Following the protest, civil administration and police held multiple rounds of talks with protesters and finally managed to pacify them, informing the protesters that investigation is going on at full pace.
“Following assurance, protest was called off at around 04:30 pm and traffic was restored after seven hours on the highway,” officials said. (KNO)
