Srinagar: Traffic department on Saturday issued a fresh advisory for tomorrow with detailed cut-off timings and convoy movement.

On the Jammu and Srinagar national highway, the advisory said that subject to fair weather and better road condition of the road, “LMVs shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu on the highway. However, TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.”

It also added that the LMVs from Zig (Qazigund) will be allowed only from 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs and no vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut off timing. For heavy motor vehicles and load carriers, only stranded vehicles between Jawahar Tunnel and Banihal shall be allowed towards Jammu.

“Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of NHW,” the advisory added.

Further adding, it said that on 26 March, Friday, “there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar national highway from either side in view of maintenance/repairing.”

However, Mughal road will remain closed due to snow accumulation.

The SSG road will also be closed by the J-K Govt. vide DIVCOM Kashmir’s order No 400/2020 dated 30-12-2020 till further orders.
