An 18-month-old girl was killed after being hit by a school bus in the Lankreshpora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday, official sources said.
They said that Ajwa Rashid, daughter of Abdul Rashid Khan of Lankreshpora village was grievously injured after being hit by School Bus.
She was immediately rushed to District Hospital Bandipora where she was referred to Srinagar hospital, they said. However, she died on way, they added.
Meanwhile, a police officer while confirming the incident told that the accused driver has been arrested and the school bus has been seized. “Further investigations have been set into motion”.
It was not immediately known how the girl was at the spot. (GNS)
