Three government officials died while another one was injured after a vehicle they were travelling in plunged into the river Chenab in the Assar area of Doda district on Monday.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that four officials of Road and Buildings were onboard a vehicle when it skidded off the road and plunged into the river Chenab near Assar.

He said that three officials including executive engineer R&B Doda, AEE and the driver died on the spot while the superintending engineer was injured.

He added that the injured officer was evacuated to the government medical college Doda where his condition was said to be critical. (KNO)
