A government school teacher died of a cardiac arrest at his native village in Durpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
An official said that Fayaz Ahmad Sofi, son of Mohammad Shaban Sofi, a resident of Durpora Zainapora, posted at Primary School Mujmarg, suffered a massive cardiac arrest at his home.
He said Sofi was immediately taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Zainapora where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He has three daughters.
The cases of cardiac arrests in Kashmir have increased in the past few days. (KNO)
