Srinagar: Two persons have been arrested on accusations of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two minor girls in Srinagar’s Lal Bazaar area.
As per a presser by the police, two accused Hilal Rather, 24, from Haygam, Sopore, and Shabir Mir, 30, from Kreeri, Baramulla, have been arrested for kidnapping and sexually assaulting 2 minor girls.
The girls, whose names have been withheld, were aged 12 and 13 years. Both of them were rescued.
“FIR No 41/2023 U/s 363, 376 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act at Lal bazaar PS,” the police noted in a tweet.
