Srinagar: Srinagar police on Tuesday filed 1000 page chargesheet against three accused persons involved in an acid attack on a girl in Hawal area of Srinagar.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), the chargesheet was filed before CJM court and Juvenile justice board against two adults and a juvenile.
He said that as one of the accused persons is juvenile, they have filed a petition to try juvenile as per the juvenile justice act as crime is heinous in nature.
“About 1000 page chargesheet has been filed today against 3 accused including two adults and a juvenile in CJM court & JJB. Petition also filed to try juvenile as per JJ act as crime is heinous in nature & juvenile is above 16 & below 18 years,” he said.
Notably, a 24-year-old girl was injured after she was attacked with acid on her face in Hawal area of Srinagar on February 01. (KNS)
