Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday said that they have airlifted the two injured civilians to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.

“#ShopianEncounterUpdate: Both the #injured #civilians have been #airlifted to #Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment. Further details shall follow,” the J-K Police said in a tweet.

Two civilians were injured during a gunfight at Pandoshan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. The officials said that during the initial Cordon & Search Operation (CASO), the militants fired upon civilians and tried to escape, in which two civilians got injured.

One among the injured is said to be critical.
