Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday morning visited central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to pay obeisance at the renowned Mata Kheer Bhawani temple.
The security was beefed up along the route to facilitate Gandhi’s visit to the temple, news agency KNO reported.
Mata Kheer Bhawani temple is located at the middle of a spring in Tullamulla village of Ganderbal and is the holiest shrine of Kashmiri Pandits.
Last month, Bollywood actress and BJP MP Hema Malini visited the temple to pay obeisance.
