Srinagar: One militant has been killed in the initial exchange of firing in Hakripora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A local news gathering agency Global News Service (GNS) quoting unnamed officials reported that one militant has been killed in the initial exchange firing. However, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
Pertinently two militants were killed in an overnight gunfight in Shopian.
Earlier, reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 50 RR launched a cordon and search operation in Hakripora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)
