Police arrest 3 involved in vehicle lifting in Budgam; recover 15 stolen vehicles

After busting the gang of vehicle lifters, recovering stolen vehicles, police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district have made one more arrest in this regard and have recovered two more stolen vehicles.

Pertinently, police in Budgam district recently had busted an inter-district gang of vehicle lifters, arrested six accused, and recovered 13 stolen vehicles from them.

The total arrests made by police have reached to 7 and stolen vehicles recovered so for are 15.

Police said that two more stolen vehicles with fabricated registration numbers were recovered from Waterihail area of Budgam district. The vehicles include white color Alto K10 (JK08F, 6559), & granite grey color Baleno (DL7CQ-8839).

The seventh accused arrested in this regard has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Rather of Watrhail village.

Police said that the investigation of the case is still going on. More arrests and recoveries of stolen vehicles in the instant case are expected. — (KNT)
