A PDD lineman died due to an electric shock while doing maintenance work at the Ban Mohalla Fathekadal area of Srinagar on Thursday.
Locals sources said that a lineman identified as Ishfaq Ahmed was critically injured after receiving an electric shock while on official duty. He was shifted to SMHS hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was posted at sub-division Khanyar and is a resident of Zaldagar Srinagar.
Police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. (KNT)
