One militant has been killed in an ongoing overnight gunfight at Kanidpora area of Bejbhera in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thrusday.
A local news gathering agency Global News Service (GNS) quoting sources reported that one militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight , however identity of the militant is yet to be ascertained.
They further said that due to darkness operation was suspended for night yesterday to avoid collateral damage and was resumed today with the first light of the day.
Yesterday reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Kandipora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
