Srinagar: One person died while another was injured in a road accident in Doda district on Sunday evening.
A police official said that a Tata sumo met with an accident as it fell into rivulet on Gandoh Bhatyas road near Shoran in Doda in which two persons received critical injuries.
He identified them as Mohammad Mohreen (26) son of Gh Mohammad resident of Vill Changa and Mohd Yasir son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Ovill Nelu.
He said that both were shifted to nearby hospital where Yasir was declared dead and Mohreen was shifted to GMC Doda for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile police has taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation. (KS)
