Northern Army Commander Command Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday stressed on empowerment of ex-servicemen men by preparing them for a second career, after retirement, so that they are able to contribute more in society and also bats for positive parenting to achieve wellness for future generations.
While delivering the inaugural address at three-day long Command Augmented Wellness Support Seminar 2022 at Nagrota, General Officer Commanding -in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Lt Gen Dwivedi said spoke on the need for empowering the ex servicemen by preparing them for a second career.
Officials informed that Lt Gen Dwivedi emphasized that soldiers, who completes their service in army at very young age must well aware of all second career options, so that they contribute more in the society.
Dwivedi maintained that special educative camps would be organized in partnership with private employers of Multi National Companies to aware the soldiers’ about second career options.
The general officer also stated that physical, mental and spiritual health are three major indicators to ensure wellness of our present and future generations.
“We need to focus on the three pillars of physical, mental and spiritual health to ensure wellness of our present and future generations, Dwivedi said.
Dwivedi highlighted the negative influence of the Social Media on children and stressed on positive parenting to keep children in a positive frame of mind.
“The negative influence of social media on children adversely affecting their overall all wellness, to overcome there is critical need for ensuring positive parenting,” the Lt Gen said.
A three day Command Augmented Wellness Support Seminar 2022 is being organized by the Army Wives Welfare Association in Nagrota. (KNO)
