Government forces launched a massive cordon and search operation in Khondora Beerwah village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Joint forces including soldiers, para-military troopers and counter insurgency men from special operations group cordoned off Khondora village and launched a search operation.
The operation was launched after the inputs about the movement of militants in the village. Locals told news agency Kashmir News Trust that door-to-door searches were conducted and identity cards of people were thoroughly checked.
The search operation was underway till the filing of this report. (KNT)
