Srinagar: A lady worker of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) sustained injuries after she was thrashed by unknown persons at his home in Bankoot village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.

Officials said that BJP lady worker identified as Naheeda Qomar, wife of Yasir Ahmad, resident of Bankoot who is also a BJP district president of ST Morcha and Women’s Secretary in Bandipora district, reported wire-service KNO.
They said two unknown persons wearing masks entered her home during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday and thrashed her, leaving her seriously wounded.
She was later taken to District Hospital Bandipora for the treatment where her condition is stated to be stable.
An official from the DH Bandipora said that Naheeda had received head injuries and is stable now.
Meanwhile, police said that they have no information regarding the incident, but will ascertain the facts. (KNO)
