Srinagar: A 35-year old man died after suffering massive cardiac arrest in Dhank Syedain Uri area of of north Kashmir’s Baramulla.

Local news gathering agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) quoting an unnamed official reported that Reyaz Ahmad Awan son of Mohammad Yusuf resident of Dhank Syedain Uri died after suffering massive heart stroke. They said the 35-year old  felt chest pain while playing cricket in the locality, and after falling on the ground in an unconscious state, he was rushed to nearby PHC Boniyar where he was declared brought dead on arrival.

Block Medical Officer, Boniyar Parvez Masoodi while confirming the incident to KNS said that the said person suffered a heart attack and was declared brought dead on the arrival of a medical facility.

Notably, Kashmir valley has seen a surge in sudden heart attacks in the last six months drawing serious concern from health experts. (KNS)
