A 45-year-old man died when a walnut tree branch, he was cutting, fell on him in Sheeri village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the man identified as Mohammed Ashraf Dar of Shalteng, Sheeri was injured when a branch of a walnut tree, he was cutting, fell on him.
He said he was subsequently rushed to a nearby health facility, however, he was declared dead on arrival.
Ashraf was the lone bread earner of his family and is survived by three daughters and wife. (KNO)
