A leopard spotting created fear among the residents on the outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday evening while a team of wildlife department rushed to the spot.
A wildlife department official told The Kashmir Walla that after a leopard was spotted in Wani Mohallah of Manchowa village, on the southern outskirt of Srinagar, and a team of ten officials has launched a search operation.
Rashid Naqash, the regional wildlife warden, said that the search operation to track down the leopard was ongoing since Saturday evening.
It’s for a second time in recent weeks that a leopard has wandered too close to the neighborhood in the same area.
