The authorities on Tuesday retrieved 52 kanals of state land in Srinagar, officials said.
Tehsildar South Moin Kakroo said that 40 kanals of state land illegally occupied by Nedous Hotel owner has been retrieved at MA Road while 12 kanals of state land were retrieved at Karanagar.
He added that a total of 52 kanals of state land has been retrieved today by the Revenue Department.
Pertinently, the government has started an anti-encroachment drive across J-K in a bid to retrieve the state land and Kahcharai land from the illegal occupants, especially the highly influential people. (KNO)
