The condition of the son of the owner of Srinagar’s famous eatery Krishna Dhaba – who was shot and wounded in an attack last evening – is stated to be stable, according to a senior doctor.
The 22-year-old Akash Mehra was shot at by the unknown assailants in his chest, and was immediately shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital where he was operated in the trauma ward.
However his condition has been stable since yesterday, said Nazir Choudhary, Medical Superintendent SHMS. “He was hit in the chest and was brought here in a bad condition but the treatment has been going on and he is stable now,” said Choudhary.
Choudhary added: “When a person is shot his condition is obviously not good but he is recovering now. However, one doesn’t know how much time will take for him to recover completely.”
The shooting took place in Dalgate area of Kashmir’s main city Srinagar, a short distance away from a hotel where a high-profile delegation of diplomats who are touring the region is staying.
