A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) from Jammu and Kashmir Sachit Sharma was among 151 police officers, who have been awarded Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation, reported Daily Excelsior.

Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) City South Jammu Sharma, who had done meticulous investigation in the Krishna Dhaba militant attack case in 2021, has been awarded with the prestigious Home Minister Medal for Excellence in Investigation 2022.

Sharma is the only police officer from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, who has been conferred this prestigious award, as per the report.

He has been awarded this medal for his meticulous investigation of the Krishna Dhaba militant attack case in 2021. He had unearthed the conspiracy to revive Muslim Janbaaz Force in Kashmir Valley.

DySP Sharma is already a recipient of the Police Medal for Gallantry, Jammu Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry, DG JKP Commendation Disc and DG CRPF Commendation Disc.
