Saja Begum, grandmother of journalist Kaisar Andrabi, died on Thursday night, a family member of the deceased said.
After prolonged illness, Begum (70) passed away at her home in Pakherpora Budgam.
“She has played a major role in making me all that I am today. Please pray for her soul,” Andrabi wrote on Twitter.
According to family, the Rasme-Chahrum of the deceased will be observed on Monday at their native home in Pakherpora.
