J-K records 164 Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 164 fresh Covid-19 cases while two persons died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

40 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 124 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 340598.

There were two deaths reported from Kashmir division due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said.

So far 4521 persons—2196 in Jammu and 2325 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 51 cases, Baramulla 29, Budgam 9, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 16, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 19, Udhampur 4, Rajouri 1, Doda 5, Kathua 1, Samba 1, Kishtwar 5, Poonch 4, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.
