India recorded a massive spike of 46,164 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours out of which over 31,000 were from Kerala.
The country also witnessed 607 deaths, taking the death toll to 436,365, according to union health ministry data. So far, India has recorded 32,558,530 corona cases in total.
Besides, the active cases have also increased to 3,33,725 in 24 hours, comprising 1.03% of the total infection count.
The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.02%. It has been below 3% for the last 62 days, according to the ministry.
In the past 24 hours, Kerala logged 31,445 new coronavirus cases with test positivity rate (TPR) in the state soaring to 19.03 percent
The number of cases registered was much higher than the 24,296 cases reported on the previous day.
Meanwhile, the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.63% with a total of 34,149 having recovered.
The health ministry said on Thursday that a total of 60.38 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
