Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi has been admitted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura after he tested positive for Covid-19 infection.

Quoting family sources news gathering agency Kashmir News Trust (KNT) reported that Aga Syed Hasan was not feeling well and he developed complications during the intervening night of 16 July and 17 at home, after which he was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar.

Pertinently, Mr. Hassan has been detained under house arrest since 5 August last year, the day centre did away with special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bi-furcated it into two Union Territories.

A medico told that Mr. Hasan has been tested positive and he has been admitted for pneumonia and heart ailment in the hospital. He said that the condition of the Shia religious leader is stable.

Earlier, Aga Muntazir, the son of Mr. Hasan was tested positive. “[Mr.]Muntazir is admitted at a clinic in Nagam and his condition is stated to be stable,” a family member told KNT.
