The government of the Union Territory of Ladakh on Wednesday ordered suspension of classwork/ classroom activity in all Higher Educational Institutions of the territory.

In an order from Secretary, Higher Education Padma Angmo, reads “On the basis of the Covid-19 assessment, it is hereby ordered that the classroom teaching in all the higher educational institutions in the Ladakh shall remain suspended till 30th April 2021.The university, Colleges, and institutes shall resort to online classes during the period, reads the order.

The order further reads “However the University, colleges and institutes may decide to continue the ongoing and forthcoming examinations as well as the laboratory work, research, internship etc requiring physical presence, with strict compliance of Covid protocols, the order added. (KDC)
