As several states face acute shortage of oxygen for COVID-19 patients, a Kashmir based non-governmental organisation has setup a helpline for oxygen.

The Social Reforms Organisation Kashmir (SROK) – which deals with oxygen, NIV equipment, ambulances, sanitisation, burials,  doctor consultation amid the ongoing Covid-19 emergency, has set up the helpline.

People in need for oxygen in Kashmir can call on: 18001022146 to procure oxygen.

The Project Head for Oxygen at SRO Kashmir, Mohammad Afaaq Syed, told The Kashmir Walla that people can call us and after simple registration they will b provided help.

“We can provide them high-flow oxygen, low-flow oxygen, oxygen concentrators and other products,” said Syed. “We have stock but we are also running low. The demand has grown while the supply is low.”

He further added that the hospitals in Kashmir have oxygen as of now but if the patient flow increases then it will be hard. “We only have a few oxygen manufacturing units and they have limited capacity to produce oxygen,” he said.
