As the government forces launched a search operation to track down militants, who attacked a forces’ checkpoint in Baramulla’s Kreeri, a gunfight has raged between militants and the forces in the north Kashmir. So far, one militant has been killed in the gunfight as the firing continues, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS).
An unnamed police officer told the agency that contact was established with the fleeing militants in Kreeri village after the morning attack in which two paramilitary and one police personnel were killed.
