A 35-year-old woman, who was injured in a road accident on March 8, 2022 at Tutigund area of Vodhpora Handwara in Kupwara district, succumbed to her injuries here on Saturday.

Reports said that the woman namely Syeda Begum (35) wife of Mohammad Akber of Mawer was critically injured after being hit by a speedy tipper bearing registration number JK02AK-1706 on last Tuesday, following which she was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

On receiving initial treatment, she was referred to a Srinagar-based hospital for specialized treatment.

The injured was undergoing treatment there since then, however eventually breathed her last today.

A police official said that a case already stands registered in this regard. (GNS)
